The People Who Make It Possible

Tayor

- My greatest passion is making a difference in the lives of those who need us most. From a young age I’ve always had a caring heart and a natural desire to help others which inspired me to pursue this profession as a PSW I came into this field with compassion, empathy, kindness, and my heart on my sleeve.

Caring for others is more than just a career to me it’s an absolute honour. I strive to make every person I care for feel valued, respected, heard and appreciated I am a proud, strong, and dedicated PSW born to make a difference one heart at a time.

Tara

- My name is Tara. Mother of 6, step mom to 1, fur mommy to 2 of the cutest Pugs that ever lived, and a wife to my amazing husband, Peter.

I started in Healthcare back before I even knew what I was doing in 2005, when I helped to take care of my Aunt Janet who had MS. After her passing I knew it was what I wanted to do. I started as a Homecare Aid, and when Covid hit I knew it was time to go to school. I completed my Supportive Care certification at Conestoga College in Waterloo.

I spent quite a bit of my childhood in Simcoe County but spent the majority of my teen and adult years in the Ottawa Valley. I moved back to Simcoe County in May 2025.

I look forward to meeting the locals and bring some smiles to the faces of those I get the opportunity to meet along my new journey with Friend-And-Me.

Simarpal

- I’ve been working in healthcare for three years, and I chose this career because I truly enjoy helping and caring for others. What I love most is making people feel supported, valued, and cared for. I’m compassionate, kind, patient, and dependable, and I also bring a fun, positive energy to the people around me. For me, healthcare is about making a meaningful difference, one person at a time.

Rayo

- I became a PSW because of my passion for caring for others and helping people in need. I enjoy my work because it allows me to make a positive difference in clients’ lives, support their independence, and provide care with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Mikhaila

- I'm a bighearted, down to earth person and caregiver who loves a good conversation, cooking/baking, gardening, art, and the outdoors. I am easy going and believe the best care comes from genuinely getting to know someone- not just what they need help with but what makes them laugh, their stories, and what makes them happy  and feel like themselves. Whether we are sharing stories, enjoying the fresh air, playing Bingo or just having a good chat I'm there to bring kindness and companionship and of course a lot of fun with the care.

Jennifer

- While going through school, I worked in retirement home dining rooms as a server. That’s when I learned the most important skill I use today as a PSW with Friend-and-Me. You need to be fully present, to give the people in your care your full attention and see them as a whole person. If you can tune into more than what your clients’ words are telling you and understand their overall mood, you can often anticipate potential problems before they escalate. That goes beyond providing routine health and wellness care and enables me to give each of my clients the best possible quality of life. When I am not caring for my clients, I am trying to keep up with my eight year old son.
